Strings

The string orchestra program is offered to students in grades 4, 5, and 6. Class instruction is offered as one group session per week on the following instruments: violin, viola, cello and double bass. Students in 4th grade participate in the Spring Concert, and students in 5th and 6th grade participate in the Winter and Spring concerts. Intermediate and Advanced students have opportunities to participate in Falls Church Pyramid Orchestra Night and District 10 Solo & Ensemble Festival each year.

Instrument Rental

Financial assistance is available for those in need of such assistance. Requests for financial assistance should be made directly to the Fine Arts teacher prior to the due date for the related fee. IFA (Instruments For All) is a centrally managed program that provides 11,000+ rental instruments to eligible students on an annual basis and ensures access to the instrumental music program. String instruments available through the IFA program are: Violin and Viola.
